DMZ Industry Submission Guideline

DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (DMZ Docs) has established itself as one of the leading and most dynamic documentary film festivals in Asia. Celebrating its 11th edition in 2019, the Festival launches ‘DMZ Industry’ which aims to be Asia’s largest industry platform dedicated to Asian documentary films. DMZ Industry runs 3 key programs - DMZ Docs Fund, DMZ Docs Pitch and DMZ Docs Match. DMZ Docs Fund is a funding initiative having dealt with monetary and in-kind grants during the last decade. With the infusion of renewed funds, the program will provide expanded support towards the entire film making process, from development to pre-production, production, even through to theatrical release. The newly-launched DMZ Docs Pitch is a financing and co-production forum where Asian creative documentary projects with high potentials are discovered and presented to key industry players ranging from commissioning editors, funders, to broadcasters. DMZ Docs Match serves as a rendezvous point where Asian documentary filmmakers can find various business opportunities together with film festival representatives, sales agents, buyers and broadcasters. By offering diverse programs and events tailored to Asian documentaries such as pre-training workshop with world-renowned documentary experts, one-on-one business matchmaking and online preview screening service, DMZ Industry will encourage various production and financial opportunities on a global scale contributing to all stages of Asian documentary films.
