The Netherlands Embassy - DMZ Docs Documentary Co-production Funds Project

To foster collaboration between Korean and Dutch documentary filmmakers, DMZ Docs Industry introduces a 100 million KRW international co-production fund, established in partnership with Gyeonggi Province and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Korea. This initiative supports compelling co-production projects and builds a foundation for sustained international exchange.

KANG Jinseok | Programmer, DMZ Docs

Kang majored in Cinema Studies at Korea National University of Arts and majored in Visual Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin. He participated in Director Kim Soyoung¡¯s Exile Trilogy as a producer and has lectured at Korea National University of Arts, Jeonju University and Gachon University. He has been working for DMZ International Documentary Film Festival as a programmer since 2021.

Margje de KONING | Artistic Director, Movies That Matter

After directing documentaries for 12 years, Margje apart from teaching at the University of Amsterdam, was commissioning editor over 17 years. Also, she became head of TV, Radio and NM of IKON (public Broadcaster), before becoming artistic director of Movies that Matter, she was head of Documentary at EO (Dutch Public Broadcast). She takes part in juries, panels and moderates (pitching) sessions in the film industry. Margje is voting member of DAFF, EFA and The Academy (Oscars)

LEE Hajin | Senior Cultural Policy Officer, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Korea

Hajin Lee is the Senior Cultural Policy Officer at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Korea. Since the establishment of the Embassy¡¯s cultural department in 2016, she has been responsible for shaping policy directions as well as developing and supporting programs that foster cultural and artistic exchange between the Netherlands and Korea.

Julian ROSS | Head of Film Programming & Distribution, Eye Filmmuseum

Julian Ross is Head of Film Programming & Distribution at Eye Filmmuseum, the Netherlands. In 2024, he co-programmed Doc Fortnight at The Museum of Modern Art, the 69th Flaherty Film Seminar at Thai Film Archive, and co curated Community of Images at the Philadelphia Art Alliance. He also served on the selection committee of the Villa Medici Film Festival and curated Engawa at Centro de Arte Moderna - Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. Previously, he programmed for the International Film Festival Rotterdam and Locarno Film Festival, and was guest programmer for the Singapore International Film Festival. His curatorial work has been shown at Tate Modern, Art Institute of Chicago, e-flux Video & Film, Kunsthal Rotterdam, Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, Harvard Film Archive, and the British Film Institute.
