KIM Jayang
When Taeyun was 8 years old, his birth mother left home. One year later, he was sent to a child care facility by his father, Gisong, and was only able to return home once he turned 17. After many complications, he returns home to a few unfamiliar faces. They are his Vietnamese stepmother, Nguyen, and younger half brother, Taemin. Taeyun is not at ease with his new stepmother, Nguyen. Although he tries his best to get along with her and calls her ¡°mother¡±, he continues to feel a big invisible wall between them. Likewise, Nguyen sees Taeyun as an unwelcomed guest in her home. She believes that Taeyun had returned home earlier than expected and had caused a disturbance in the family. The hostility between Taeyun and Nguyen gradually intensifies. Gisong puts no effort in helping the relationship between the two, and the director tries to have the two reconcile. Meanwhile, Taeyun focuses on his part-time job because he is unable to receive financial support from his family. But he soon gets overwhelmed by his arduous job and decides to drop out of school to focus on work. After dropping out of school, Taeyun gets a girlfriend and enjoys his newfound freedom. But not knowing what he truly wants, he reaches a stage of wandering in his life.

Kim is currently majoring in documentary at the School of Film, TV & Multimedia at Korea National University of Arts. Kim was an assistant director of the Korean feature-length documentary Wolf Mask.
