DMZ Docs Industry was established to develop, support, and promote outstanding documentary projects in Korea and Asia. In 2025, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Korea and the Gyeonggi Provincial Government jointly established the Netherlands-Korea Documentary Co-production Funds to foster cultural exchange and facilitate collaboration between filmmakers from the two countries. Documentary filmmakers from Korea and the Netherlands working on short, mid-length, or feature-length projects are eligible to apply. Through this new initiative, we aim to explore the strengths and potential of international co-productions in documentary filmmaking, and to discover projects with strong distribution potential, including through film festivals.
