The main character doesn¡¯t eat cucumbers. No, he can¡¯t eat cucumbers. He couldn¡¯t eat cucumbers for a very long time. The main character grew up constantly hearing the question, ¡°Why can¡¯t you eat cucumbers?¡±. He hated how the world was like this and believed that there is definitely something wrong with the world. Wanting to bring change to a world where people point fingers at ¡®cucumberphobia¡¯, the main character decides to take up cucumber farming. The main character takes his camera to the uncomfortable world of growing cucumbers. This documentary explores the cultivation of cucumbers from its 4000-year-old vast history in the Himalayas region, to the Saemaul Movement, to the cucumber industry, and even to his own friends. To create a world where it¡¯s okay to not eat cucumbers, a cucumberphobic¡¯s will begins to bubble.
