Synopsis

In eastern Seoul, a large apartment complex is going to be rebuilt soon. Residents had desperately wanted reconstruction and as soon as it was approved, they moved out to expedite the process. For a little while, stray cats took over the apartments as no one was living there. It was peaceful and silent. Meanwhile, residents start to gather and organise out of concern for the cats who will not leave the apartments.
What will happen to the cats who hate to leave their homes?

Review

Urban expansion has made redevelopment and reconstruction become a part of our daily lives. Reconstructing large-scale apartment complexes, in particular, has become the talk of the town as it benefits self-serving apartment owners. Cats¡¯ Apartment poses a pertinent question: shouldn¡¯t we regard cats as residents of apartments as well? There are as many different kinds of lives as there are human beings in apartments.

The film looks into vanishing apartments through the perspective of cats.
