DMZ Docs Fund

Development Fund
NUMBER 12 Korean and Asian projects
ELIGIBILITY Early-stage projects under 30% in production (in development stage)
SUPPORTS & BENEFITS
  • 10,000,000 KRW per project
    (approx. 8,100 USD per project)

DEADLINE
Wednesday, June 8th, 17:00
(GMT+9 / KST)

* Number of selected projects or amount of funding grants is subject to change.

Eligibility

- Feature-length documentary projects (60 min. or longer) with aims of theatrical release or TV broadcast
- Documentary projects created by directors/producers of Korean or Asian nationality
* Item Research Fund & Post-Production Fund are for Korean Projects Only.

Development Fund
  • Documentary projects in pre-production or development stage
Post-production Fund
  • Korean documentary projects in the post-production stage
  • Projects submitted to the DMZ Docs 2022 call for entry
  • Projects that completed shooting and editing
  • Documentary projects that provide the DMZ Docs with the first-look option
      - Premiere of the completed film at the DMZ Docs 2022 (condition can be changed or agreed upon after discussion)

Required Documents

  • Online Project Application (at DMZ Industry website)
  • Budget Breakdown
  • Project Proposal
  • Screener Link(s) for director’s previous works (if applicable)
  • Project Trailer (if applicable)
  • Rough Cut (mandatory for Post-production Fund applicants)

Submission Process

  • Go to online submission page within DMZ Industry website (industry.dmzdocs.com)
    DMZ Industry webpage ▷ DMZ Industry Program tab ▷ Submission Guidelines and Supports ▷ Click Submit
  • Fill out the online application with requested materials and submit it.
  • Successful applicants will receive (automatic) confirmation email.
