Production Pitch Rough Cut Presentation

  • 30-70% in production
  • Korean/Asian or international co-production projects with over 30% of Asian regional finance
  • Post-production or in the final stage of completion
  • Projects that have never been released or broadcast (except for at film festivals)

* Number of selected projects or amount of DMZ Industry Awards grants is subject to change.
* Due to COVID-19 pandemic, DMZ Docs Lab and DMZ Industry 2021 may happen online.

Eligibility

- Feature-length documentary projects (60 min. or longer) with aims of theatrical release or TV broadcast
- Documentary projects created by directors/producers of Korean or Asian nationality

Production Pitch
  • Korean/Asian documentary projects in 30~70% stage of production, or international co-production projects with over 30% of Asian regional finance
Rough Cut Presentation
  • Korean/Asian documentary projects in post-production or finished stage
  • Projects that can submit 30 min-long excerpts of rough cut
  • Projects that have never been released or broadcast (except for at film festivals)

* In case the project wins the DMZ Industry Award, the recipient agrees to provide the DMZ Docs with the first-look option - Premiere of the completed film at the DMZ Docs (Premiere condition varies depending on the winning category). This entitles the DMZ Docs to consider itself as the host of the film. However, it does not guarantee the official invitation to the DMZ Docs, which is at the sole discretion of the selection committee of the DMZ Docs.

Submission Process

  • Go to on-line Submission webpage within DMZ Industry website (industry.dmzdocs.com)

  • Fill out the online application with requested materials and submit it.
  • Successful applicants will receive (automatic) confirmation email
