Synopsis
The Chinese government invited China’s most internationally revered architect Ma Yansong to design a social housing project, Baiwan Homes. As 2,600 low-income households moved in, our film observes how the resident’s desire to define their own community, the official’s instinct to stay in control, and Ma’s ideals interweave and wrestle with each other.
