The film is an intimate personal story about familial relationships and our memories of growing up. It revolves around director¡¯s own family that had a hard time coming to terms with his father¡¯s disability. Pankaj was 7 when his 37-year-old father, Rajinder was shot in the spine and became paralyzed from the neck down. In a strange twist of fate, Pankaj became the primary caregiver to the very father who was always missing from his parental duties. The doctors gave Rajinder barely a year to survive. But he went on to live for another 35 years, leading a bedridden life but doing remarkable things after setting up a charitable organisation and winning numerous accolades for his work. With Rajinder's health now at its worst, Pankaj starts documenting him. As he continues filming, he wonders if he will remember his father for the work he did despite his condition or for the time that he gave to his family.
However, things change after the birth of Pankaj's daughter. The parental responsibilities and the emotional bond with her soon lead him to a conclusion that there are no straight answers when it comes to how much we owe to our parents who brought us into this world.
