60-year-old Pan Shiyi is one of China’s wealthiest real estate developers. He was born in Shizui Village, located far from the wealthy coastal cities, in a remote and mountainous part of northwest China’s Gansu province. In 2020, Pan funded the establishment of a kindergarten in Shizui Village. With a teaching philosophy based on virtue, he hopes to influence children’s morality.
